On Wednesday November 10th, our generous supporters came together at HOTA on the Gold Coast for the inaugural ‘Everything Is Possible’ end of year thank you celebration.
It was a wonderful night shared with donors, volunteers, Sippers, suppliers, partners, ambassadors, stakeholders and officiated by our Patron the Honourable Dame Quentin Bryce AD, CVO.
We gathered because of a shared goal – to cure paralysis for all.We know that over 20,000 Australians are living with a spinal cord injury and suffering with paralysis, and we know there will be at least 400 new traumatic injuries this year.
Because of the generosity of everyone who attended, and many others, we were able to celebrate $12.7 million dollars being invested into spinal research over the last 10 years as well as the commencement of the Intensive Rehabilitation Trial. This is an incredible achievement for a small organisation and is shared with all of our supporters.
Thank you to emcee Heath Hill and presenters, Professor James St John from Griffith University and the team from Making Strides for inspiring all who attended.
The event was generously sponsored by BOQ Business and Morgans.
