Lindsay Nott
Cure Crusader Ambassador
About
Lindsay Nott grew up in Brisbane, Australia. His life changed on the last day of school in year 12 when a terrible accident took place. Lindsay met a group of mates at Southbank on a hot summer’s day. Four friends ran into the pool, 3 came up and Lindsay was the unlucky one that hit his head and broke his neck at vertebrae C5.
Nowadays he gets around on 4 wheels instead of 2 legs. His injury hasn’t stopped Lindsay from making the most out of this beautiful life and he spends a lot of his time traveling and taking new adventures.
Lindsay has a lot of experience public speaking at universities, conferences, fundraisers, and within health care settings. He also works part-time, is committed to his rehabilitation and even volunteers as a peer support mentor for the newly injured and their families.
Lindsay is an advocate for disability awareness and his goal is to help people and their families who are in similar situations.
In 2021, Lindsay shared his story as part of our Summer Safety Campaign. You can view the video here >
