Perry Cross hit the sand and gratefully received a cheque for $15,000 this month from the incredible team at the Usher Cup!
The Usher Cup is a Gold Coast surf contest whose purpose is to recognise the grass roots of club surfing, promote equality, unite board riding clubs and support local charities.
We were one of the proud beneficiaries of the event which was held at Duranbah Beach and Snapper Rocks from the 29th to the 31st of January 2021. Thank you to the amazing team and all of the supporters for raising $15,000 to go towards our Intensive Rehabilitation Trial.
The Usher Cup Team then toured our research labs and got to see the incredible work of the Spinal Injury Project at Griffith University. The team showed great interest in and enthusiasm for our Spinal Injury Project research and it was a pleasure to host them.
Finding a cure for spinal cord injury takes universal force and collective power. Every time someone links arms with us, our global movement strengthens, our voice gets louder, our presence more visible and a cure becomes a reality. If you are an individual or corporate group looking to make an impact and you would like to get involved and help us to cure paralysis please reach out to us, we would love to hear from you; team@pcsrf.org.au.
