Dr Ronak Reshamwala is working tirelessly to cure paralysis. He is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Spinal Injury Team. Dr Reshamwala develops surgical approaches for transplanting nerve bridges. His work involves incorporating the newest scientific and technological advances as part of the team’s ground-breaking nerve bridge therapy.
“To me, life is all about pushing the boundaries and achieving the impossible. As a medical student, I was taught nearly 15 years ago that central nervous system injuries cannot be healed, nor can the paralysis be reversed. It is my dearest aspiration to achieve this particular “impossible”; and help people with spinal cord injuries to get back on their feet, quite literally!”
