Dr Tampe is a pro-active senior executive with deep knowledge and experience in leading engagement between industry and their partners in tertiary academic institutions, government, the non-for- profit sector and philanthropy.

With a track record of more than 25 years in tertiary academic institutions, industry, and publicly funded research institutions in Australia and overseas, Jens is a proficient translator of innovations from engagement to closing the deal, ensuring that products and services enter the market and create substantial socio-economic impact.

Since June 2022, Jens is the Head of Commercialisation and Investor Relations at Akunah Pty Ltd, a medical software company based in Brisbane (www.akunah.com), leading business to business partnerships, engagement with universities and government, attracting non-dilutive funding, and managing Akunah’s intellectual property. Before, he worked for 13.5 years at Griffith University as Deputy Director of Griffith Enterprise.
