The Spinal Injury Project “cell and nerve bridge production team” are training for the clinical grade production of cells for the clinical trial. This is being done at the Good Manufacturing Practice facility at QGen in Brisbane.
The next step is to do a full pilot production including transporting the nasal biopsy, purifying the cells, creating the nerve bridge, and then transporting the final nerve bridge to the hospital.
It is great to see this work taking place.
