Ben Michael was born in Brisbane and raised on the Gold Coast where he attended The Southport School. In 2000 he graduated from Bond University with a Double degree in Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com).

He began his career in London mid 2000 with Deutsche Bank as a junior working in Client Relationship management for the Global Markets business. In 2005, Ben moved to Hong Kong where he has spent the last 15 years working across the Asia Pacific region in Corporate Investment Banking Divisions of Citi Bank, Credit Suisse and JP Morgan where Ben is currently a Managing Director, Head of F&O Execution Sales APAC, responsible for Sales and Execution with teams in 7 countries across the region.

Ben has been an active member of his community in Hong Kong supporting a variety of charitable entities and causes that are close to his heart, from environmental issues to fundraising events for Perry Cross himself, which was a memorable success in the history of the foundation. Furthering this pursuit by investing his skills in compassionate leadership within the foundation, to continue the work in finding a cure for paralysis.
