Steven Ralph’s $10,000 Fun Run

Steven Ralph $10,000 Fun Run (1)

A special thanks to Steve Ralph who recently donated $10,000 to the Foundation to help get us one step closer to a cure, who recently wrote to us:

On 9 December 2017, I suffered a severed spinal injury, fracturing my C4 vertebrae in a very simple recreational accident, swimming in a pool and hitting my head, causing the injury.

The months following this were uncertain and incredibly tough. Our whole world had been turned upside down. So much changes in an instant.

After the initial shock of the injury wore off, reality began to sink in. I started looking for ways to contribute to the cause of finding a cure for this unfair and devastating injury.

I heard about the amazing Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation and their support of the Spinal Injury Project at Griffith University.

We decided to raise what money we could to support this project and help make spinal injury a thing of the past. We raised $10,000 for the Perry Cross Foundation through participating in a simple 10km fun run.

It was a privilege to pledge this money to a great cause and I’m looking forward to raising further funds to help in the near future!
