This year’s record breaking 4th Annual Brisbane Legends Lunch was certainly one to remember!
The event, which saw 200 guests come together, had the aim of raising $88,000 to fund the scoping exercise for a Cell Transplantation Human Clinical Trial, the next step towards a human clinical trial to restore movement in people suffering with paralysis.
We are incredibly grateful to our event committee, Rob & Kerry Douglas, Ben Michael and Marcus Dore who are instrumental in organising what has become a key event in the Foundation’s calendar. Their ongoing dedication to the Foundation, continued support and hard work has made this event an ongoing success and one that guests are excited to return to each year.
Thank you to our wonderful Event Sponsor Morgans and to Morgans Foundation for generously donating $30,000 to support this event.
To our Sponsors; BDO, University of Queensland, JLL, Carers Collective & Hastings Deering thank you for your continued support!
Thank you to our emcees Tim Horan and Ben Dobbin, who made certain that our guests were both educated and entertained throughout the course of the afternoon.
We heard anecdotes and amazing achievements from sporting legends including; Darren Lockyer, Karmichael Hunt, Bronwen Knox, Digby Ioane & TJ Hendy to name a few, and also saw Andrew Mehrtens dial in, live on the big screen.
Cure Crusader Lindsay Nott also shared his story with our guests, we are grateful for his unwavering support of the Foundation.
A special thank you also to our wonderful volunteers who supported this special event.
The success of the event relies also on the generosity of our community, we were so lucky to have so many incredible prizes on offer throughout the day.
We would like to thank each and every person who attended and purchased auction items, bought raffle tickets and made a donation – we are so grateful for your support.
Together, Everything is Possible!
